It grows on you… and the man’s life is very tragic.

Inspirations
Inspiration is an interesting factor in defining yourself. Everybody has some sort of an inspiration, whether it’s a person, place, thing, or even entity. In some ways, inspirations are the reasons you do what you do, and are what keeps you motivated. Without inspiration, nothing would drive the human mind, inducing a completely dull world.
Tadao Ando, the genius architect, was most likely the most insightful. He had a very unique way of viewing not only his work and who it was for, but the world at large. Not only is balance important to architecture, but to any art or artist as well. He felt there should be a strong importance regarding the client and the culture. One of the most touching quotes from him was “What comes from my heart also comes from my brain, because they are one in the same.”. The aim was to improve where he lived, by creating his works.
The very interesting David Bowie also had well-thought out feelings for inspiration. The thoughts he had on mainstream music spoke of individuality. Style-wise, he mentioned how you should represent yourself the best you can, and try to include your art, whether music or a different type, into your thoughts and everyday life. For him, he was able to incorporate his style and music into certain personas and play them off successfully.
Edouard Lock and Louise Lecavalier were very similar in their views. Edouard is a choreographer, and Louise is a dancer who dances under his choreographs. They both believe in the nature of things, and keeping everything authentic. Everyone should find their own place with their art.
The most inspirational glassblower, Dale Chihuly, also had a lot to say. Not only is he inspirational to glassblowers, but to artists of all kinds. He works in conjunction with glassblowers from all over the world, and instructs students to help them improve with their art. Rain and water in general inspires him, he mentioned that’s why he chose to work out of Seattle. By doing this, he’s surrounding himself with inspiration.
Nora Naranjo-Morse was easily the most inspired. Her Native American heritage had everything to do with her art. Every time she is in need of more clay, she takes an early-morning trip to go and dig for it. The entire area she lives in inspires her and defines her. Even Native American beliefs and traditions take a part in her art. The clay and glitter from the dirt and clay really inspire her.
Last, but certainly not least, is Roy Lichtenstein. Roy definitely made his own niche in the art world. He only worked with what he wanted to, in his own way. Dots, like in comic books, interested him and had an impact on most of his works. Nature was not one of his favorite mediums. He followed to say “Passion is not with the subject, but everything else that makes up a painting.”. Another great factor to his art was humour. People take great happiness from humour, and he realized it. A saying of his was “something will turn up”, which can be interpreted in a number of ways.
